About Pacific Prime Singapore Scholarship Program - 2018

As strong advocates of education being the key investment for the future, we at Pacific Prime are always striving to provide extra support for the leaders of tomorrow. This is why we’ve launched our annual scholarship program, which helps talented students succeed in their field of study by offsetting the ever-increasing cost of education.

Now in its second year, our scholarship program awards USD 1,000. to one outstanding high school or undergraduate student studying in Asia-Pacific Region each year.

How to participate

To enter the scholarship program, students are required to submit an original essay on the topic:

The effects of aging population on health care


The essay should be no shorter than 1,000 words and apply your own thoughts and experiences on the topic, along with references where possible. A creative approach to the topic is highly welcome!

Please also keep in mind that the winning essay will be published on our website for everyone to read, and we will be checking all submissions to ensure there is no plagiarism.

Eligibility Criteria

High school and undergraduate students

Participation is open to high school and undergraduate students of all nationalities or ages in Asia-Pacific Region.

In order to qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be currently enrolled in, or have been accepted to, a local/private university, community college, trade school, or institute on a full or part time basis in 2018.

The scholarship recipient will be asked to show proof of enrollment or an acceptance letter.

All essays must be written in English.

Submission deadline

30th September 2018

Applications for the 2018 academic year should be submitted by 30 Sep, 2018.

The scholarship awardee will be announced on Nov 1, 2018. If the USD 1,000 grant is not claimed within 30 days, we will select another student.

The scholarship award will be presented to the recipient at our office, or will receive their award via mail if they are not able to collect it in person.

Note: This is a yearly scholarship, we will feature a different topic every year.

How to apply

To enter the Pacific Prime Singapore Scholarship Program - 2018, simply follow the 3 steps below:

Eligibility criteria:

In order to be considered an eligible applicant of the scholarship program, all entries must fulfil the following requirements:

  • The scholarship essay must be submitted by 30 Sep, 2018 - no late entries will be reviewed.
  • All submitted entries should be an original piece of writing, and will go through a rigorous round of checks to ensure there is no plagiarism. Honesty in all submissions is imperative. Demonstrating originality, passion, and creativity will aid in an applicant’s chances of being awarded the scholarship.
  • The essay should contain a word count of at least 1,000 words.
  • Applicants must be a currently enrolled (full or part time), or be accepted to study at a local/private university (undergraduates only), community college, institute, or trade school.
  • All submissions should be written in English.

By entering the scholarship program, you are giving Pacific Prime Singapore consent to contact you via mail, email, and/or phone call. If you are selected to receive this scholarship, you are giving us express consent to use your full name, college or school identification, and your submission essay on our website and for any other promotional material/purposes, without further compensation or payment to you. Please also note that the awardee will be responsible for paying any income taxes (if applicable) as a result of receiving the USD 1,000 scholarship.

  • The recipient of the scholarship is required to submit original copies of their proof of enrollment, as well as a copy of their academic records before the scholarship is disbursed.
  • Pacific Prime Singapore reserves the right to reject incomplete or plagiarised applications.
  • Pacific Prime Singapore reserves to right to reject applications not written in English.
  • Pacific Prime Singapore reserves the right to publish entries received on any platform.
  • The result is decided solely by the panel of Pacific Prime Singapore’s scholarship committee.
  • There are no restrictions placed on the winner with regards to holding other scholarships.
  • If the scholarship recipient decides to withdraw from the course and/or terminate the scholarship prematurely, Pacific Prime Singapore reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed, as well as any other damages that may have incurred.
